Interference
INTERFERENCE
"But still, alone in front of the computer, the art experience remains personal."
This is the first solo exhibition for netart at Netfilmmakers. We present INTERFERENCE by Michael Kargl (carlos katastrofsky) – netart especially created for this exhibition. The curator Annette Finnsdottir and Michael Kargl use this opportunity to experiment with different forms of communication and exhibiting methods. Thus they have open two exhibitions of Michael Kargls' works simultaneously– one at Spanien 19C in Århus and the other at Mikrogalleriet Cph - where the immaterial art of the net is transformed to suit the physical exhibition space. Here a selection of his work from 2003-2007 are presented, as well as three new installation pieces. Michael Kargl also gave an artisttalk at Spanien 19C and the performance "On Translation" at Mikrogalleriet Cph. A documentation video of this performance is also available in the exhibition at Netfilmmakers.

Interference - net art
Michael Kargl takes the viewers by way of new technologies into an area, in which content and medium are mutually dependent and a feedback of expression and form is possible.
