Surveillance Under the Magnifying Glass
In relation to the upcoming exhibition “Surveillance” at Netfilmmakers, we have asked the invited artists to comment on the following topics:
The first topic deals with Surveillance and the “I” - Is there a difference between state surveillance and the everyday digital/electronic surveillance? Which one/or does both inspire you? Is identity lost?
Secondly, we will discus Surveillance and Art - Is it possible to view art as some kind of surveillance (maybe of life worlds)? Do you use the same technology or method in your artworks?
And lastly The Society/Culture - Does your artworks focus on the melting of Society and Culture? What can be defined as Society and what is Culture in our hyper digital age?
Please follow the artist’s comments here - and feel free to join in with your own views on the presented topics.
